This bench can add a lot of visual appear to your outdoor spaces. It was finished in classic white, and it looks like a bench that would have been in the yard of a home long ago.

Better Outdoor Living at Home on Jan 15, 2013Hi Four Season Nursery & Landscaping! We used Rustoleum paint, but in hindsight we think that an opaque high quality exterior stain, like Cabot or Sherwin Williams, would have been a better choice. Repainting and re-staining wood pieces are usually necessary after a a number of seasons because of being exposed to the elements to some degree. When stain is originally applied to wood, it usually just needs a light sanding before re-staining. But, paint can need scraping along with sanding when there is peeling. If you paint the wood first, and then decide to stain it later on, the paint would need to be removed down to the bare wood. Opaque high quality stain comes in beautiful color choices - not just wood tones, but colors!
