Hnoki cypress turning brown from top

I panted it 2 years ago where huge maple was the year before. It is suddenly turning brown from the top. The neighbor sprayed roof for moss the week before but other plants doing ok.
This is worst of 3 trees

Sounds like whatever was sprayed, it killed the top. I would just trim off the dead top,and see what happens

Even dusting roses will kill of the foliage of a tree. I did that to my willow tree one year. I wouldn't cut it off. just leave it as it is and hope that it grows back in the spring. Mine did.

I am going to bring sample to nursery I bought it at. They said with sample will be able to tell if it is chemical, wind damage, cold weather, fungus or bug. Heart broken. I just redid my back yard 2 years ago. These 3 trees were so much apart of the look. 😔

Could be spider mites they will suck the life out of these kind of trees if not treated. hope this helps
