Two years ago I bought a house that had a ramp to exit the side door. I had it removed and I currently have garden square stepping stones for step, but I would love to have concrete steps, but there's a concert slab that's there. What can you do on a single parent's budget since you can't pour concrete over concrete ... HELP!!!

Actually you can pour concrete over concrete as long as the base concrete is structurally sound and not crumbling apart.

I had steps that the bricks were losing from & I bought granite slabs & laid them over the bricks, this worked well for years. The slabs were only $20-25 back then. A similar method may work for you. You may be able to buy slabs made of a less expensive material or use wood on top of bricks, cinder blocks or landscaping bricks. Hope this gives you some ideas.
