Easy Watercolor Sharpie Mugs That Actually Last

I love the way these Easy Watercolor Sharpie Mugs tuned out and the best part is they will actually last! I have seen several tutorials lately on watercolor nail polish mugs but everyone has the same complaint, you can taste the nail polish, Yuck!
So I've come up with a way to make Easy Watercolor Sharpie Mugs that have no weird taste and will actually stand up to every day life, including the dishwasher. In this tutorial I will show you how I made my Watercolor iKat mug.
That's it! It's a relatively easy process and one that doesn't have to be completed all at once. I let my mugs sit for a number of days in-between each step with no repercussions. Which makes it a great nap time project.

I love the pink ombre one. Beautiful!! If you did a design on a plate, is it safe to directly eat off of it if you seal it with the Mod Podge?

Did the colors really change that much after applying the mod pudge or is it just the photo? I want to try this but not if I will lose the brightness of the colors.

@Lisa House Hey Lisa! The colors changed after I baked it too long. If you check out my original post on my site I give the correct baking time for the colors to stay true. The modpodge did not affect the color saturation. I hope this helps! Cat
