I dripped brown hair dye on my solid wood (I think it's ash) that is stained cherry. Is there any way to fix it other than dismantling the cabinet & restaining it?

I have the same problem. Don't think there is a solution. I'm going to paint over my in black.

Use a Mister Clean magic eraser with peroxide and it should come right off :)

If you can pop out the panel, I'd soak some cotton in peroxide and place it over the stain, cover with plastic wrap and leave for a couple of hours to see what happens. I'd be hesitant to leave anything wet on any kind of finish for very long because that may cause the finish to become damaged. Then, you'd have another problem to deal with.

The peroxide will evaporate almost right away so no need to worry about that. I took the Mr Clean square to my white wall when grand daughter got hair dye on it, accidentally. That worked pretty well, but still a small stain.

I tried the Wal-Mart brand of Magic Eraser & it worked! Thanks, it was sooo much easier than popping out the panel & restaining! &

Oxiclean removes dyes. You might give that a try. I would think peroxide would work.
