You can clean off the water spots with vinegar or bathroom cleaner for water deposits. Pitting is little holes, so you can't clean that off.

If it is truly pitted, you may want to check into 'frosting it' to disquise the pits (pitting will still be there), (this technique can be seen on shower doors.) I know there are DIY frosting kits, and could possibly be offered to be done by pros. Else having the glass replaced is a option, but costly..Or maybe the best solution is 'turning a blind-eye' to it (this may also work). I have found the best window cleaner is warm water with a bit of dish detergent and a squeeze with a rubber blade. Some Big Box Stores sell a plastic film that can be easily put on. they have frosted and patterns like stain glass.

Try a rubbing compound made for cars (available at most auto stores like Auto Zone). It may not remove all the pitting, but you will see a noticeable improvement. Also, I've had good results with this homemade glass cleaner: 1 cup white vinegar, 1 1/2 cups alcohol, 2-3 drops liquid dish soap. Mix and put in spray bottle. Clean glass with a good microfiber cloth.

bad spots, magic eraser works magic, limeaway, glass cooktop cleaner, or fine steel wool and liquid wax. Pits, I'd try windshield repairer (for a stone crack in the windshield) If you go that route, thoroghly clean and dry prior and wax the window afterward. Good luck on that!

Clean the window as well as possible, then dissolve a couple of Tablespoons of Cornstarch with 1 cup of water and heat as a beverage in your microwave. When the mixture has cooled a bit, apply to the pitted areas of the window, then dry. This is worth a try!

If you can't clean it disguise it. Hang sheers so the light still comes in but the window itself isn't as visible.
