Recovering and Painting a Side Chair
by

(IC: blogger)
This side chair was purchased at an estate sale - it worked well with the desk and the burgundy leather worked with the English Cottage color scheme, now that i've gone gray in the living room, this chair needs a change
the chair before. I thought I might keep the nearly 200 brass tacks, but I chose to go without them - very glad I did!
The chair after. I found this and more fabric for the living room transformation at a fabric warehouse that has a sale bi-yearly. The fabric is sold at $1.99/lb. It takes some work, but you can find some gorgeous fabric.
I chose to paint the wood on the arms - I used a mushroom color for the base and dry brushed a light gray from Amy Howard at Home.
The chair now looks lovely in this room alongside the newly painted bench. The living room transformation is taking shape!
