Painting dilemma - need advice!

Despite 3 coats of Kilz latex primer, and 1 coat of Valspar semi-gloss paint, I can still see the outline of the "diamonds" from the previous homeowner's paint job. BELOW is the "before" photo so that you can see the diamond shapes. Any advice on how to proceed from here? Do I apply a 2nd coat of paint and hope that the outline disappears? HELP!

I painted a gals bedroom earlier this year...it was a combination of a bright pink and what she called "coral" it was lot of red to me...it took three primer coats and 2 of paint...but is now a much more subtle blue...red is one tough color to cover
