Sheetrock in front of baseboard heating
-
Traci Shanks on May 25, 2015No. Baseboard heating must have a direct path out. You could cut a hole in the Sheetrock and install a grate to allow the air to escape, which should satisfy code. I'd recommend giving your city/ county code enforcement office a call and asking, although you might want to relay that you are "thinking" about renovatinfpg as most often they will tell you that permits are required 😒Helpful Reply

Grnurse on May 25, 2015You should not be paying for this. The contractor should correct his mistake.Helpful Reply
