Judy on May 26, 2015I'm going to go out on a limb here & assume that the "bubble" you're talking about is the wax that rises & falls. It takes a long time, several hours usually, for the wax to heat up to the point that it starts moving. I'm sure the wax didn't just disappear between the store & home so that's my best guess. Just plug it in & give it more time.Helpful Reply

Chance Hall on May 27, 2015I'm hoping you already have fixed the lamp. But, just in case you haven't, some of these lamps work off a bulb that heats the wax. It's possible that you just need a new bulb.Helpful Reply
