Desk As A Nightstand Makeover

When the kids switched rooms this year, I ended up with extra furniture floating around the house. My son's desk ended up in our room (pre room makeover) and I used it as a nightstand.
The desk is not bad but I’m used to seeing it in the boys room so, It screams “boys room” when I look at it.
I used Linen White by Benjamin Moore for the drawers and desk top. For the body of the desk, I mixed my own color from leftover paint. I changed the knobs to glass knobs.
To protect the top of the desk, I made a burlap table runner and fringed the edges.
I used upholstery nail heads to secure the burlap runner.
To further protect the desk top, I added a piece of plexi- glass.
Here is my side by side before and after. No more “boys desk” screaming at me. Now it’s feminine and I love it.
