7 Smart Ways to Fix Shower Clutter (All Less Than $15!)

Fact: Three half-full shampoo bottles, nasty old soap and six choices of body wash in one teeny-tiny space is too much shower accouterment. If you’re elbowing bottles every time you turn to scrub, it’s time to rethink your shower.
Try one or more of these seven creative ways to fix shower clutter, and turn your shower back into a serene start to the day:
Important Clutter Note: Be careful – more space could tempt you to actually keep more toiletries in your shower. Fight the urge by purging your shower of anything you haven’t used in the last 30 days.
1. Fruit Basket

A fruit basket’s hook will conveniently fit on the shower rod, giving you three or more extra trays to fill with shampoo, soap and more.
2. Stainless Steel Light Clips

This trick won’t work for all of our toiletries (you need bottles that are small enough or flexible enough to attach to the clip end of these guys), but it’s a simple solution if your toiletries match! Hang the hook end on your shower rod and then clip away. Bonus: This is a good option for your two or three most-used products, because the bottles will hang upside down so gravity helps you out when it’s time to lather up.
3. Mesh Shower Organizer

If your favorite products don’t fit the clips from try using a mesh bag, instead.
4. Add a Second Rod

You’re probably seeing a pattern by now: your shower rod can do a lot more than hold up a curtain. But if you’re not crazy about hanging items from your shower curtain rod, add another rod across the back of your shower at a convenient height. Note: Tension rods are easy to install and remove. If you move homes, simply take the rod with you.
5. Color Coordinate with Zip Ties

If your clutter problem is less bottle overload and more total organizational anarchy because four people share one shower, there is a cure! Buy some colored zip ties, assign a color to every member of your household, tie their color around their products and then assign each shelf a color. If everyone sticks to their spot, your shower will feel less chaotic.
6. Lanyard

If you have a lanyard around, put it to good use and rope it around your shower head. The lanyard is durable enough to hook half-empty bottles onto, clearing up more space around your shower for other things.
7. Toy Hammock

There’s no clutter quite like shower-toy clutter. If you share a space with kiddos, chances are your tub looks like a public pool for plastic toys. Round up the playthings with a hammock. Make sure you hang it at kiddo’s height, so they can be responsible for their own things.

SUCH a great post! I recently invested in a cadillac shower caddy and it's changed my life. :-)

I recently installed a toy hammock in the corner of my kitchen for all my 'tupperware' stuff - I was so tired of not being able to find lids! This is visible and easily accessible! Same problem solved - organization!
