Tammy Huiras on May 30, 2015I do the baking soda in the drain followed by vinegar. Then I follow up with boiling water to wash all the gunk down. Let the vinegar and soda work for about 10 or 15 minutes then flush with the water. I do this every couple months and never have problems with the drains.Helpful Reply

Tammy Huiras on May 30, 2015I don't measure it but I'd guess about 1/2 cup of baking soda and then I pour maybe a cup of vinegar. When you pour the vinegar it will start fizzing as it reacts with the soda. I pour a little and wait for it to quit fizzing and then pour a little more in. Nothing real exact.Helpful Reply

Kathy Hord on May 30, 2015After running the disposal you need to clean underneath the rubber pieces. Use a bottle brush with a little dish soap. You'll be amazed how mush Gunk collects under it. Then rinse it with hot water and run the disposal again.Helpful Reply
