Hi guys! Back today to share one of our most recent yard sale up-cycles :) We got these lamps at a local street sale for ONE DOLLAR! They weren't terrible and are actually are really great size. But the green wasn't to our taste.
(Full disclosure, that didn't stop us from living with the green for months! haha) Anyway, the time came for us to have at it and do something fun and stylish with these babies.
Since it's sorta warmed up here in Nova Scotia, spray paint was an option!! (Exclamation points because our spray paint weather on the coast is seriously like 8 weeks a year... it's the saddest EVER.)
A little tin foil here, a little tape there, some spray primer and lovely metallics and voila! Our nouveau lamp! All chic and ready for centre stage :)
And they look quite nifty as a pair too! We figured for a dollar? It was worth it to try something new :) Hope you enjoy! And for full details on how we achieved the striped look check out our blog at www.diypassion.com - Chat soon! Erin & Dan
