Old catologue craft/furniture ideas?

I found a 1970's chapter book that is a replication of a Fall 1909 Sears Catalogue. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to do with this? I like to redo furniture a lot also.

Good find! If the pages are big enough to frame you could do a neat gallery of old items that relate to your home and or interests (i.e. kitchen items, clocks, tools). Mod Podge some to the back of a display shelf or inside drawers for visual interest. If your style leans that way a neat set of kitchen canisters and tins would look great Mod Podged with kitchen pages. If you used them in a shadow box you could display vintage finds inside like old watches, jewelry, silverware, etc. Have fun with it!

I have seen where people wallpaper a wall with this. or a lampshade.

You could mod podge them on a table top or the front of a dresser. If you scrapbook they would make a great background for a page of photos. These are awesome!

Oh my goodness, what a treasure!!where to begin?I think I'd make some color copies of some pages ( at a printing shop- not on my home printer) and frame some of the pages. Depending on the pictures in the ads, framed pages would naturally fit with a kitchen , bedroom or bathroom theme.

I think it would look great to wallpaper a country bathroom with and then get a basket with corn cobs and some country signs to put in there. Like those Baths 25cent signs. Perhaps some chait rail made out of old fencing. I could go on and on lol
  • Pick your favorites and frame them!

Copy images onto photo transfer paper, iron onto fabric and make something you want out of it .(Pillow, tote bag, laundry hamper.) Use your imagination.

Decoupage onto the outside and/ or inside of a hard sides suitcase or train case...if you can find one. I may have bought them all up.

Train cases make the best organizer/containers for Barbie Doll clothes and accessories. The tray holds the small shoes, etc or even some of the smaller garment parts. Below the tray, store the clothes and if there is room a doll or two.
  • I would frame some and place them on a gallery wall and also I would use some to decoupage on furniture. It would give the pieces a nice vintage appearance.
