With a little bit of paint and battery operated lights, a forgotten metal owl was transformed into a whimsical nightlight. Talk about easy peasy. You can visit my blog for the full post and tutorial.

Here is the before photo of the metal owl.
There was some felt at the bottom that covered these 2 holes, which I knew would be the perfect way to insert the string lights.
First I lightly sanded the metal owl and then gave it a couple coats of white paint and sealer.
I then added some battery operated string lights to the inside.

After I inserted the lights I used 2 furniture feed pads to close the holes back up.
Here is my owl with the lights turned off.

And here is the owl with the lights turned on. The battery pack sits on the outside making it easy to turn the lights on or off. You can visit the full post and tutorial over on my blog.
