Piggy, Pork BBQ Sign Diy

About a year ago, my sister gave me this beautiful antique yoke with the challenge of ...what can you make out of this.
A year later, it still sat in my laundry room, waiting for the ultimate aha moment. I did think it would make a great light fixture with lights on both ends but I have never found 2 matching shades. (at least at a price I want to spend)
A year later, it still sat in my laundry room, waiting for the ultimate aha moment. I did think it would make a great light fixture with lights on both ends but I have never found 2 matching shades. (at least at a price I want to spend)
So now, a year later, I brought it out with the goal that I wouldn't put it away until I figured out what to do with it.
With more research into vintage signs, I finally decided my sign should be a BBQ pig sign.
The pig was painted piggy pink.
In Publisher, I made my delicious and BBQ lettering then transferred the outline to my pig. The lettering was hand painted, sort of like paint-by-number.
When he was complete, he was given a final sanding and waxing.
Hope you get a chance to stop by. Can you tell what was used to attach the sign to the yoke?
Enjoyed the project?
