Slow running faucet !?!?
I checked for leaks: none. Checked to make sure all valves were fully opened (on the sink itself for both hot and cold water). Still a very small stream of water is coming out.
Any idea what's happening? (I was thinking some sort of pressure problem but all other faucets are fine. Maybe an 'air bubble' of sorts on just that sink?)

D & K on Jun 09, 2015Remove the aerator and clean it. Many times after the water main is turned off and then back on, sediment in the pipes works loose and will get caught in the aerator. A good cleaning or soaking in vinegar usually does the trick.Helpful Reply

Hope Williams on Jun 09, 2015Unscrew the screen part where the water comes out. I'll bet it's clogged with trash.Helpful Reply

Pete Wells on Jun 09, 2015Agree with the other responders, your aerator is clogged..next time you shut off the water main, unscrew all the faucet aerators, then when you turn the water back on, allow it to run a half a minute or so before reinstalling the aerators..Helpful Reply

Southernlady on Jun 09, 2015And if cleaning the aerator doesn't help, try blowing out the pipe. We've had to do this several times (100+ year old house and still have some galvanized piping left in the system)Helpful Reply

Gary Mckinley on Jun 14, 2015If you have an older faucet, a piece of the washer may have fallen out and plugged the faucet. If you know how to remove the handle assembly, do so and check your shut off washers. Make sure the water is shut off before you do.Helpful Reply
