DIY Pom Pom Wall Hanging

What do you do with scrap wood from an old wine barrel? Make an awesome Pom Pom Wall Hanging of course!
I bought this old wine barrel for our wedding a couple years ago and after sitting outside at my parents house for a while, it started to fall apart. I couldn't bare see all that wood go to waste so of course I took it with me and kept it for projects just like this!
These curved pieces are such a cool shape and to me, it was just begging to have something hanging from it. For the wood, I gave it a simple whitewash (white paint mixed with water) to give it a fresh new look.
And making the yarn pom poms was so easy! You could use any color you want and get creative with the layout too.
