Inset laminate floor

I currently have laminate flooring (which I love) with carpeting Inset into the central portion of Great Room (my grandchildren were babies and I wanted a soft surface for them to crawl on). Now I want to remove the carpeting and install a contrasting woodgrain laminate to replace the carpeting. I know I won't be able to mt h the existing laminate which is throughout my house so I figure a contrast would add accent. Is there a transition piece to use to join the surrounding laminate with the new laminate?
This is how the laminate and carpet currently co-exist. Want the accent laminate to replace the carpeting.

re-use the existing transition you have there now. carefully pry up the "t"mold out of the channel its snapped in .Cut the new floor around that channel and just tap the "t"mold back in. Don't cut the floor tight against the channel, leave about 1/8" for expansion.

Thanks, Mark. I hoping that the depth of the subfloor when we remove the carpeting will match that of the existing laminate subfloor. It should as the original application was a new build and, again, hopefully we can find a laminate the same density as the original. It's been 9 yrs and hoping things haven't changed that much. Feeling more confident with this challenge.

I agree with Mark C, use the same t-mold. I also have laminate flooring and love it!

Thanks, Michelle. My friends had Bella Wood floors installed at their house and regret it as they have gouges and scratches. The finish even wore off in their office at the chair area and have some white spots where water penetrated. And Bella wood is supposed to be GOOD stuff. My "laminate" shows no wear and so easy to maintain. I think it is under-rated as a flooring option.
