Succulent help

So this succulent isn't doing too good. Something is going on in the lower right side. I think it needs newer and fresher soil. Can it just be dug up and replanted in fresher soil? TIA 😊

The dried up bits of plant are quite normal. The underparts of the plants tend to die off as they grow. Just pick the dead bits out. You can always tip it out and replant if you wish after tidying it up. It should be planted in cacti/succulent potting mix or you can add some sand to regular potting mix for better drainage. Succulents need very good drainage or they can rot. Just be gentle in pulling off the dead bits. Make sure the pot has good drainage by not sitting it in a saucer as they don't like wet feet and also ensure the drainage hole in the pot is not blocked by the surface it is sitting on. Put little pot feet or something under it to lift the pot off the table so that air can circulate under it and that it can drain freely.

I see! Thanks for this helpful information. I'll be replanting it tomorrow with this in mind 😀

I had the same problem but did not think to show what shape it was in. I am embarrassed to show it. I thought I had killed it by over watering it. Thanks, I got the cacti/succulent potting soil. I will let you know how it turns out.
