Mary Heery on Jun 18, 2015I've found that even permanent markers can run if a wet substance touches them. The best thing might be to use acrylic paints, let that dry, use a soft, small brush to carefully cover with polyurethane. Dry thoroughly & do 2 more coats. Acrylic poly stays clear. Oil-based poly tends to yellow and takes longer to dry. MaryHelpful Reply
