Wood needs covering

Dave Page on Jun 19, 2015need more info and better pictures. I would suggest you have a reputable carpenter or landscaper look at this problem before doing anything. Is it part of a structure, or facia or what?Helpful Reply

Swinnen Lisette on Sep 12, 2016Yes, you need first to pinpoint why that wood is rotten: insects? humidity? and from where? As I see it, you better get that wood out of there. Keep on breaking the wall down until you find the end of that rotten wood. Put ome stuts under what ever is resting on that wall. Replace it with new wood treated against beasts. Then cover it up. Because you are doing most of the work yourself, and you need a carpenter to replace the wood, you are cutting down on the "work hours".Helpful Reply
