Can anything can be done about yellow patches in Bermuda grass from neighbor dogs using our grass as a toilet? Help!

Fortunately, it doesn't happen much, but it sure is unsightly.. Do we water the site to dilute it?

Termites are Swarming!

My neighbor brought over some winged insects emerging from the ground in his mulch bed. Termites! The winged adults are swarming now, as are adult fire ants. ...»

How can you tell the difference? Termite bodies are pretty thick from head to tail (like a cigar). Ant bodies have three definite sections, connected by a narrow neck and waist.

Make sure your termite treatment is effective!

some reason they seem to be attracted to the car being washed in our driveway. Are they really attracted to the water? The car is dry now but there's still some underneath it. We're killing the ones we see. Thank goodness for our termite bond!

Peachtree Decks and Porches

Service: Remodeling
I would like to recommend this company - they specialize in decks and porches. We are SO happy with the screened porch they built for us - and keep getting compliments from our neighbors on it.

Decided to break up the big gray wall. The metallic paint looks great and changes throughout

the day. Depends on the sun and time of the day. Cheap and very effective.

  • Helleborus x hybridus blooming in my garden in January.
Cut off old leaves that are damaged and new growth will quickly fill in. 1
  • Poet's Laurel, ( Danae racemosa ) evergreen shrub, great for dry shade Apply a one inch layer of mulch to keep soil from drying out too quickly. 1
  • Deciduous holly ( Ilex verticillata 'Winter Red' ) holds its fruit for months.
Plant one male pollinator nearby for best fruit display. 1
  • Cedrus deodara 'Divinely Blue.' This conifer is hardy to Zone 6 and provides color year around. Give plenty of space to grow.

This backyard is now in unison with the rest of this lovely home.

Not only did the project solve drainage issues, it also created another 1,000 square feet of space outside the house for relaxing on the new covered porch and eating in the outdoor dining room.
