Where can you purchase material or slip covers for outdoor furniture

Dee on Jun 22, 2015Not sure about ready-made slip-covers, unless you go to a custom store, such as Charter House in Saskatoon, SK. However, to make some reasonably priced ones (after all, they are only rectangles), try buying shower curtains at your local Value Village. Weather resistant and they come in trendy colors!Helpful Reply

Alice Shockley on Jun 22, 2015I'm not aware of any place that sells ready-made, but they are easy to sew. You can buy the fabric and any large fabric store. I made some a while back and bought the fabric at JoAnn's.Helpful Reply

Swan Road Designs on Jun 22, 2015Waverly makes a line of outdoor fabric called Sun N Shade that is UV resistant and comes in a great variety of patterns and colors. You might "surf" online to find a site that offers their fabrics at a discounted price. I frequently use a site called fabric.com and have been more than satisfied with their prices and service. Since there is no indicator as to whether or not you are in or near a large Canadian city, I can't offer any place for you to research fabric outlets in your area.Helpful Reply

Shelly on Jun 22, 2015An online/catalog store called, Home Decorators Collection has new covers for patio furniture cushions in many shapes & sizes, and has beautiful fabrics to choose from if you don't want to try to sew them yourself. It's very simple straight-stitch sewing though & you can use the old covers as a pattern/guide. Sunbrella offers all-weather, fade-resistant & durable fabrics by the yard. You can buy Sunbrella fabrics by the yard at: Tubbies Water Works 2231 E. College Avenue State College, PA 16801 814.234.4566 Also Calico Corners (Pittsburg) carries Sunbrella & other brands of weather-proof, fade-resistant fabrics. They have a great selection of Home Dec fabrics & offer custom made covers too, though their custom made will be considerably more expensive than buying ready-made covers from the Home Decorators Collection catalog.Helpful Reply

Josephine Howland on Jun 22, 2015I've ordered different outdoor fabric from JoAnn's Fabrics. I've had customer's simple go online, pick what they want and order it sent to me. I've used it to cover wicker furniture and even the boat cushions for a sleep aboard boat.Helpful Reply

Donna n on Jun 29, 2015I have another suggestion that has worked for me extremely well and much cheaper, make them out of outdoor curtains. I was able to make a canopy top for my 3 person yard swing out of 2 outdoor curtains, and some velcro strips for only 20.00 the curtains where on sale at a local Christmas Tree Shop they came out perfect and saved me a bundle....plus they are waterproof !Helpful Reply

Sarah on Jun 09, 2016You could go to Goodwill and maybe find some shower curtains to cover your cushions. I don't even leave my cushions outside, I have all kinds of cats in my neighborhood that come in my yard and lay around. They upset my birds and squirrels.Helpful Reply

Look in the fabric cellar-clearance section. http://www.fabricguru.com/ There is some help on the net if you type in making slipcovers for outdoor furniture. I would use polyester thread and not cotton.Helpful Reply
