I just got this desk and I am trying to find out any information on it. I'm sure there must be a way to look it up by this number. Can anyone help?

It looks like one I have and I was told it is a PIANO DESK....as it closes up. It looks like there is a shelf ?? that pulls out, that u can write on....I took mine apart, it had about 10 layers of black paint...painted it with ASCP Paris Grey and it looks great!! What do you plan to do with yours?

@Pauliegirl1 I'm not quite sure what exactly I'm going to do. The piece that closes it up is missing but, maybe I can replace it. I have been working on getting all of the layers of paint off mine. I'm thinking maybe an antique white? The Grey sounds very pretty too! I can see where the name comes from. Makes perfect sense. Hopefully I can find a picture now. Thank you so much!

I would try to get the same kind of wood for the piece that is missing...should be pretty easy to cut and add the hinges!!

Great find. I have one in storage that I found in SC about 15 years ago. Seeing yours tells me I have to do something with mine (actually my daughters college desk). Because the legs unscrew it is easy to ship anywhere. It looks in great condition. If there is. Woodworking shop nearby, you can take the drawer to help identify the wood and get a piece to match. It looks in great condition otherwise. I have seen one where they painted a scene on the drop-down front. If it is in Ok finish I wouldn't paint it. This is a neat piece because it can be used anywhere as a side table or in a guest room as a nightstand with a "secret" desk. Mine is dark walnut. But yours would look great in my light cherry bedroom. Please post pictures when you finish it.

Oh my, I had forgotten all about mine, which is stored in my basement! It is dark wood, and I have not had it set up in over 25 years! Please share what you decide to do with yours.
