Joy on Jun 28, 2015Citrus trees grow very slowly, especially from seed. Are they in full sun? They should get at least 6 hours of sun per day. Growing citrus from seed is a lesson in patience! It sounds like you're doing everything right, keep them moist and enjoy your endeavor!Helpful Reply

Merry D on Jun 28, 2015The Master Gardeners told us to expose the fine roots, and add fertilizer, but not directly to the roots. Maybe around the edge of the pots. If you place them outside, make sure they have a bit of shade so they don't sunburn. As they get bigger, plant lavender and other bee-friendly plants around them. It takes a couple of years to get them big and setting fruit, but once they start producing, we're told there will be blooms and fruit at the same time.Helpful Reply

Cheryl on Jun 29, 2015My husband planted seeds in citris potting mix and he uses miracle grow on them once a month. They are indoors but they get put on a window sill all day and they thrive in the afternoon sun. He removes them at night and puts them in my kitchen. He doesn't let them get below 70 degrees. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Cheryl on Jun 29, 2015Forgot some details. He started them in red dixie cups. They were transplanted to 8 inch pots when they were 3 inches tall. Do not overwater. He uses a spray bottle on leaves and waters when soil is dry down to one inch. There you go.Helpful Reply

DORLIS on Jun 29, 2015I put all my house plants out as soon as the oaks have enough leaves to shade them some. They get a breeze to keep molds and fungus at bay and I know I enjoy a vacation outside so why wouldn't they. If you are worried about bugs, you could cover them with cheese cloth.Helpful Reply

DORLIS on Jun 30, 2015Also, a good bug repellent can be found in many strong essential oils, bugs don't like the smell. My cats have been flea and tick free for over 4 years. Catnip is growing all over the yard.Helpful Reply
