Funnygirl on Jun 30, 2015Absolutely!not in direct sun but hung upside down in the shade. When they are ready, they will pop off with your fingers. Then, let them dry a few more days on paper towels. If you want to plant them next year, wrap them in a paper towel, put them in a lidded jar and label them with the date and type of sunflower( if you know),for next year...Helpful Reply

Kathy on Jul 01, 2015I scrape the little doodads (not sure what they are called) off that cover the seeds and throw the head into a paper box lid to dry. In a few months, I remove the seeds and leave them lay in the box until they are ready to be planted. Works like a charm each and every time.Helpful Reply

Che on Jul 01, 2015Hang the flower in your garage and let it dry. Then bag the seeds for next spring. I start a few in pots in March or April to get a head start on spring and now have some that are 7' tall.Helpful Reply

JKL on Jul 01, 2015once they are dried upsidedown, keep them in the crisper in a sealed plastic bag. most seeds need a cold spell to germinate. some can be planted in the fall and they are first to come up. not sure about the sunflowers.Helpful Reply
