Old Sewing Machine Base Becomes Beautiful Plant Stand (or end table)

$20.00

Easy
Cheap auction find which only required some cleaning muscle, primer paint and top coat of white paint.
Purchased for a few dollars at an auction.
No one wanted this former sewing machine cabinet. No drawers, dirty, cobwebs and rusty iron. I made a small bid and it was mine. Stuffing it in the back seat of my car was the toughest part. Then, waiting for clear skies was my next objective.
Scrubbed and primed.
A light sanding on top was all that was needed. A complete scrubbing with hot water and Brillo pads to remove dirt, etc.
Ready for top coat.
I used three cans of Rustoleum satin white spray paint.
Between rain storms I was painting.
Finished! It's bright and clean.
