I'd like ideas for using parts of a wooden bench I've changed into planting pots and I'd like to hang them since I have dogs and they pee on new ítems, lol. Thanks to everybody for your help.

Sorry don't quite understand your question. Would help if you had a picture of your bench parts or pots.

The picture helps! When you say long...how long and how many will you have? Is the bench still together, like the photo? or is it all taken apart? If this is the bench I would leave it alone, paint it a bright color, however get other wood to make your boxes IF you haven't taken the bench apart.

If it is still together, I would hang it intact and sit the plants on the seat. OR turn it so the back is on the bottom so you could hang from the legs as well. If apart as it seems you are saying, and you still have the legs, there must be a way to use them. Just wildly thinking for ideas!

If I'm reading right, you've already replaced the boards and want to re-use the old ones? I saw an idea somewhere to sheath the outside of a dollar store pot with wood strips, or possibly just make a planter box out of them?
