July 4th Flag Mason Jars

Need a last-minute July 4th Centerpiece which is super quick 'n easy? Well, grab some jars and grab some sand! Yes, sand! If you can pour out sand you can make these! :)
Have you ever been to the County Fair and made the little sand-filled jars? That is what inspired me to make these. Bags of pre-colored sand from the craft store was all I needed. I grabbed three Quart sized jars and went to work...
The bags of sand cost about $2 each. You can use any size jar but the Quart size gives the best impact.

Deborah Crosby on Jul 04, 2015You could etch stars into the glass on the blue jar, and then it would stand out against the blue sand!
