It’s time to fit a little “me time” into your summer vacation schedule. Gather your girlfriends and grab some drinks, because it’s craft party time!
1. Petal Coated Luminary Orbs
Imagine lounging together by the pool with a glass of wine in your hand, some calm music playing, and these beauties glowing brightly. Turn some faux flower petals into darling outdoor lighting you can enjoy all season long.
2. Dollar Store Marble Garden Globes
Spend some time designing glassy garden orbs for each of your flower beds. Use your bestie’s favorite colors or a pattern you know she’ll love!
3. Old T-Shirt Shag Rug
Turn all your old t-shirts into cozy mats for your bedroom, or make a huge one together to picnic in the park.
4. Paper Towel Tube Photo Frames
Collect all those empty paper towel tubes and print out a few of your most memorable shots, to create an interesting picture display. Bonus: this is a free hangout activity!
5. Arm Knitted Blanket in an Hour
There’s no better way to craft and chat than by arm knitting a cozy throw, that you just know you’ll huddle under later for a cheesy movie night!
6. Twine Covered Cardboard Boxes
Make a plan for you and your bestie to bring empty cardboard boxes to your next date night, have a huge roll of jute ready, and prepare for some fun and functional crafting.
7. Scented Sachets From Paper Towel Tubes
Using bland cardboard tubes, create fabulous rose scented sachets for any spot that needs a light aromatic touch of class. Let your decorations (whether they're french tres chic or flower power) personalize your potpourri.
8. Gold Striped Vases With Rubber Bands and Glass Containers
This craft is so cool, because you don’t have to be artistic to end up with a gorgeous design at the end. Try out a few different looks, take turns with the spray paint, and enjoy this summer blast!
9. Retro Graphic Printed Soap Bars
Get cute and quippy, with hilarious printed graphics that you and your gal pals can use to decorate plain bars of soap! Thanks to the clever way these are made, you don't have to worry about the picture washing away - it's everlasting, like your friendship.
10. Old Cookie Sheet to Cute Magnetic Board
Dig through those cluttered kitchen cabinets (or hit the thrift store) to find a retired cookie sheet that's just itching to facilitate some friendship bonding time. Remember: friends who repurpose together, stay together!
11. Gold Jewelry Dish From the Beach
This one’s a two-for-one friendship deal! Enjoy a dinner of delicious oysters, and then clean (well!), and gilt each one, to make jewelry dishes, for holding jewelry - friendship bracelets, perhaps?

Shirley Kalinosky on Jul 10, 2015I was just clicking through here and spotted your ball with the petals on it. WOW! I still have some of the petasl from our wedding--6 yrs ago next month-- and thought, what a great idea to be able to show them off and decorate at the same time. Thank you for the inspiration! Second look, it's a bowl! that's even better. I could do this and put a battery candle inside. WOW! You are on a roll!
