I liked my mantel but didn't LOVE it, I WANTED to LOVE it so I set out to do just that. I found a great piece of old reclaimed wood that I knew would give my mantel the farmhouse look that I ADORE! See the entire post at http://magazineyourhome.blogspot.com
This is the 'before', it was okay but I wanted more of a Farmhouse feel.
Here's the great piece I found. I decided just to clean it up and not stain it or add any kind of finish. I wanted it to stay in it's 'found' condition.
Here it is attached and decorated.
I think I'm likin' it!
