DIY Cross Stitch Art Using Plywood

Looking for an affordable large scale artwork option? Don’t break the bank! Would you like to make your own artwork like this easy DIY cross stitch art using plywood? Plywood is cheaper than canvas, doesn’t have to be framed, can be cut to any size and chances are you’ll have left over wood for another project. Perfect!
First, we cut a piece of plywood to the size we desired. Then we drew lines on the piece of plywood in a grid pattern, creating 1 inch squares.
I painted the design onto the plywood, using a cross stitch pattern as my guide. All you have to do is paint an X in each marked box on the pattern.
Since I got the idea from Do It Yourself Magazine, I used a pattern they provide on their website, http://bhg.com/BudgetArt.
I was left with a beautiful, large scale piece of artwork for my living room. The cost was under $30! Amazing, huh? Visit my blog for more details!
