Hi Hometalkers, These are some of my favorite living rooms that I have seen posted on Hometalk & of course one of

my own client's living rooms. Which of these styles would you prefer for your own home?

re the lamp...I am pleased you said the lamp is the jewelry of the room, I had said that myself before..nice to know you phrased it that way. I have an old fashioned big glass lamp that has " leaded "colors to it, in a jewel tone. I was told it is not an antique, but I love its color and shine. Pretty big for my living room, but I have it in here anyway, I love looking at it! It has a little bulb for the bottom, then the 3 way top bulb. I dont knw what kind it is called tho.

The only comment I have is WOW! Your home is awesome! It is so beautiful. You should be proud...Or as Nate would say "HOUSE PROUD". I see you also live in CA. and that area is so pretty and out of the way. Lots of country to enjoy.

I Like elegant mountain because it is in the same color range I love!, but I know by the design in my own home I would choose the Eclectic Contemporary because it is more liveable for me. I am not so formal. i would love to complement you on your choice in stone wood and bright colors with that elegant white and traditional bookshelves! I think this is actually more "Eclectic" than the design shown with that name.

Classy rooms. They are all stylish, but love Elegant Mountain. So warm and inviting. Thanks for sharing.

The walls are too dark but I like how the light floor, ceiling and the outside light brighten up the room.

Are we talking about wall insulation? If so, a lot of the shows on tV show mostly spray insulation which is very solid, that i would say good for making a house insulated very well. No cold no heat comes in time of winter or summer or any seasons of the year. Hepls save money on electricity and gas.

I love the high end rustic style. I have an 5x9 small kitchen with a wall dividing the dining room. The high end rustic style would really give me the space and beauty in my home. It's an old 1950's cape house and it needs so many upgrades. Though I would like to start with the kitchen. I hope I win!

I love the high end rustic style. I'm a traditionalist and love the combination of light, wood, stone and openness.

I think you have to consider the big picture such as the design and style of the rest of the house and it location. How would the living room you pick blend in the with the other factors. European doesn't always blend with American in more ways than one!
