Please visit my blog post for the complete tutorial. Thank you! http://www.refreshliving.us/2014/09/diy-drop-cloth-slipcover.html
When I completed this project, I had sewn two things in my life - a pillow in Home Ec. class in 7th grade, and Christmas stockings for my family the year before (using a pattern, of course!) Using my basic, beginning sewing skills, I was able to create a "slipcover" for this UGLY sofa, using a drop cloth! Here's a close up. Look at this beauty! It's hard to see the years of dirt and wear caked into it from this picture.
The fabric was definitely not soft to the touch!
For the cushions, I took apart one of them, and used the four pieces as my pattern to cut out the drop cloth for the new cushions. Please visit my blog for the complete tutorial!
Enjoyed the project?
