I had this dull little area that is really the bar wall dividing up my kitchen and living room. Plain as all get out! In order to bring it up to speed with the rest of my home decor, I decided to put a little rustic spin to it and incorporate wood pallet boards and old ceiling tiles.
Don't you just love small efforts for awesome transformations?
Plain bar wall area.
Started by adding some 1" trim to use as my anchoring for the wood and tile pieces.
Using antique ceiling tiles and some wood from builders pallets that my husband took apart, this project cost less than $30. All I did was frame the trim pieces to anchor the tiles onto, nailed them in place. Before adding the trim, I painted and stained the wood pieces and voila!
