I have oak kitchen cabinets

Lauren365 on Jul 19, 2015I have a light oak dinette set, but the light oak was too yellow for me. So I sanded the top and stained and poly'd the top only. I had planned on painting the skirt and legs grey, but the light oak legs don't really bother me. This might be what you can do with your counter tops.Helpful Reply

Gaybelle on Jul 19, 2015I would go darker just to have the contrast. It's not likely you could match the cabinet stain exactly, and minor contrast between the two probably wouldn't be attractive. It might look like the butcher block was stained from use or bleached from cleaning. JMHOHelpful Reply
