Replacing laundry faucets

Barb on Jul 18, 2015Not sure what you mean by frozen. Are they rusted or is it from hard water build up? I just fixed mine that had hard water build up and lime build up by soaking paper towels in CLR and wrapping them around the connections. That worked for me but yours might be something else altogether.Helpful Reply

Andi Criscella on Jul 19, 2015go get a pipe cutter and some shark bite valve/ spouts, you don't need to be a plumber to convert over the frozen ends an it will save you a lot of money in the long run because the ones you have will probably leave once u get them open, good luckHelpful Reply

LaWanna Lampert on Jul 19, 2015wd 40 works well. I had to use a hack saw to get one of them off. replacement knobs after you get the old ones off. Don't forget to turn off water at street. I did it once, not funHelpful Reply

Maureen Murray on Jul 19, 2015There is a product called naval jelly that is useful. You need to slather the metal area where it connects, especially the top at threads & leave on overnight. Good Luck!Helpful Reply

Rachel Z on Jul 20, 2015I will def have to try everyone's advice! My landlord is more of a slumlord...meaning he will fix it eventually. I have a hole in my ceiling that he put a piece of luann as a temp fix...but that was over a year ago! Still hasn't gotten fixed. So I've been doing a lot myself...at least I know then it'll get done! Maybe I can ask if I could have access to the basement where all the plumbing is...and shown where my on/off line is for my appt...then they don't have to worry about dealing with it.Helpful Reply
