How can I replace my motor home counters inexpensively?

I purchased a used motorhome with countertops that absorbed water so they are puffed up near the backsplash. The problem is I will also need to make the dinette table out of the same matching material since it is across the asile. They have to be relatively lightweight since the table folds but is also the support for the extra bed.

Ikea has some great butcher block countertop in varying sizes and colors. Great for the DYI.I believe it is 1" thick.

Thanks Joanie I will give it a look. Maybe I will use the scrapwood in my shop to make one great idea!

Maybe cut a countertop from a sheet of plywood (or whatever you find to replace the old countertop.) Then cover with some linoleum flooring? In my house I used porcelain floor tiles, but you need something light... and that's all I came up with.

Check your local Restore run by Habitat for Humanity. I always find what I need at amazing prices.
