Plain Teapot to Pretty Planter

I bought this cute little white + wood teapot at a yard sale for $0.25. It was rusty inside so I knew I could not use it for tea but also knew I could make it into something beautiful and useful!
I used a Sharpie marker to make a dotted pattern on the outside. It was very easy but took a little time. I made sure to alternate dot sizes and connect some here and there. I didn't want it to look too precious or perfect.
After the Sharpie was dry ( about 5 minutes) I added some rocks to the bottom of the teapot for drainage, soil on top of that then added a $5 succulent from the home improvement store.
I think it's so pretty sitting on the shelf in my dining room. It's certainly not a plain unusable teapot anymore!!
