Cheryl Marrocco on Jul 26, 2015We call them Rain Lily's, you can force them to bloom just by soaking that area with a hose. After they bloom the head turns into a big seed pod. When it just starts to crack open cut it off, turn it upside down in the soil 3 inches down you can have hundreds and hundreds of them. Dig one up and you will find baby bulbs all around the larger flowers. I drop them all over my yard and after a summer thunderstorm, the next day or two they start popping up everywhere it is beautiful. I also drop the little baby bulbs around trees, mail box etx.Helpful Reply

RoseMary Wells on Jul 27, 2015Yes, it's a belladonna amaryllis, not a zephyr lily. Lots of nicknames because of the way it blooms when the plant has no leaves or after soaking rains.Helpful Reply
