Reupholstered Chair
by

(IC: homeowner)
I picked this chair up at a local thrift store for $15. I love the style of it and it comfortable for me to sit in! After having it stored in my garage for about 6 months my husband offered to help me recover it!
The Chair Before
The chair was in really nice shape under the brown cover!
My husband and I removed the seat, I then painted the bottom part with a latex flat black paint.
We used painters drop clothes for the sides and back. Picked up some clearance black soft fabric for the inside back and seat areas. My husband made a pattern off the chair, cut out, sewed, and then attached everything to the chair frame!
I stenciled numbers on the back panel before he attached it to the chair in the colors of our Living room!
We had some leftover fabric so my husband made covers for these throw pillows and I stenciled on them!
Here is the chair and the throw pillows all done!
The back side of the chair turned out great. We added some upholstery tacks in silver to add a little shine to the finished chair!
Another picture of the back of the chair.
I love the way the chair tuned out thanks to my wonderful husband for helping me upholster it! This was our living room all done. The TV stand was another fun project I did for this space. To see that project look for my post: Dresser/TV Stand
