How to Make New Wood Look Old

Easy
Where's old, chippy and aged wood when you need it? I made my own using new cedar boards attached together and finished with translucent gray stain and lightly dry brushing them with black acrylic paint. I created a sample board using different combinations of stains and paints to figure out what I wanted the end result to look like before hand.

Flu244800 on Oct 14, 2013That is absolutely beautiful! My Husband and I have been collecting wood from around the neighborhood that people have been throwing away for some time now. This looks like a great idea to make from our collected wood!! Last thing we made was a cat climbing tree of sorts that would probably sell at pet smart for at least a couple of hundreds of dollars and the great thing is you can still keep adding to it!
