The Best Way to Clean Your Gas Grill!

Earlier this summer we decided to give our gas grill a much needed deep clean, it was really long overdue and was starting to affect the quality of the food we were cooking. After we had a bad flare up one weekend so we had no choice but to take everything apart and clean it properly.
I started by removing the burner tubes, the grates and the flavorizer bars. They were all so dirty that I wondered if I would ever get them clean again.
Armed with some Dawn detergent, some specialized grill cleaners, a pair of rubber gloves, and a large bucket of water, I got to work scrubbing and cleaning all the various grill parts.
My hard work finally paid off. I managed to scrub away all of the burned on food, grease and other gunk from all the grill grates and burner tubes. It looks as good as new and our food tastes a whole lot better!

I put my BBQ racks in a garbage bag, spray with oven cleaner. I let this sit for Four to six hrs or overnight and rinse clean the next day!

Okay I tried this with the baking soda/vinegar, but the bag got a hole from the pointy grate ends.. and this was a pretty sturdy bag.. suggestions? I like that "put them in a oven and hit "clean""
