You can buy tile paint in diy shops, the colours are limited but you should find a contrast to use. You could always use stencils to create a pattern with tile paint, you can buy plastic ones in nice Morrocan patterns on Amazon. Other paint might work fine, such as glass paint or anything oil based, as long as you don't have to scrub them clean. If you pattern or paint every other one to create a checker board effect it will be quicker than the whole thing!

I used high gloss latex paint. Takes many coats but works.

I painted 4 rows of tile in my shower (it was hideous) with latex paint that matched the bathroom, then I painted a couple of coats of polyurethane over that. In the 5 years that its been up, it still looks great. I can wipe it down, no problem, and I use a mild cleaner when it needs it.

Absolutely! I my self have done it many times. You need glass paint and any pattern you want or do a fake finish. If it is on your drain board you will need to coat the final phase with marine poly. I use aprox. 2 coats. Same on the floor. Sand with a fine grain sand paper between coats of marine poly. I have done murels on tile and it last a long time and is beautiful.

I had a 50's Pink and Gray bathroom that I just couldn't look at anymore so I had the entire bathroom from Tub to the walls re-glazed. It took one day and for a 9x6 bathroom it cost $700.00 dollars. We added a new tile floor for $150.00 and a vanity for $200.00 and Whalla a brand new Modern bathroom that we constantly get complements on!!!!
