What color should I paint this table?

Dunham Design Company on Jul 27, 2015I recently painted a buffet SW7375 Sherwin Williams Sun Dried Tomato. I is a very deep regal red in my opinion. I finished my project with an antiquing wax and stained the top dark walnut. I posted it yesterday I believe.Helpful Reply

Sophie Jonas-Hill on Jul 28, 2015If it were me, I'd consider something like lilac or turquoise, a cool colour but one that is brighter than the room colours. If you wanted something a little more zingy, what about buttercup or soft yellow?Helpful Reply

Sophie Jonas-Hill on Jul 28, 2015Yes, if you wanted to do a two tone effect then an undercoat of lilac would bring the yellow alive, or of that's not for you then a hint of green perhaps, a soft green which would look quite spring like? My mother always says that a flower never clashes with its leaves!Helpful Reply

Dawn Roberson on Jul 28, 2015I would choose whatever blue that's your favorite. I lean towards periwinkle, but turquoise or teal would look great, too.Helpful Reply

Cindy Davis on Jul 28, 2015OK, I am going out on a limb here but I think a light watermelon would be fun and still keep the soft bedroom feeling - I like the turquoise too but not to bright something soft.Helpful Reply

Jean on Jul 28, 2015If you don't want to match your desk (which is pretty snazzy already) then how about an undercoat of your wall color with a thin chalk white over coat? Kind of dreamy and muted.Helpful Reply

Mollee Kauzlarich on Aug 09, 2015With the gold frame and warm wood maybe something in a light coral would tie in with the wood tone. Or go completely opposite on the color wheel.Helpful Reply

Kayo Frazier on Aug 12, 2015With all of the tones of grey in your room...IMHO, a pop of color is needed. My suggestion would Annie Sloan's Chalk paint. The color is called Emperor's Silk a very vibrant red which you can tone down & age by adding a dark wax to it when you are finished painting. There is another darker color call Tricycle which I believe is a custom color. Both colors would be amazing with the other pieces you have in your room.Helpful Reply
