How to do wood stairs
I now have carpet stairs and want to make them wood stairs to match my wood flooring.

We just took the carpet off our stairs this weekend and removed about a million staples. I almost posted an almost identical question earlier today. We actually have great wood to work with so I can't wait to see answers to your question.

I just wrote "wood stairs" in the search box above. There are several tutorials of how other Hometalkers have done this project. May be one od them can inspire you. But I can tell you, the carpet must go. Good luck.

I would stain the steps and paint the risers.
