Brighten up the Front Porch, My Outside Living Space

Victoria
by Victoria
I live on a ranch with a small pond off my front porch. I love to sit on the porch and watch the horses, heron, geese and birds. Occasionally deer and bobcat come to drink. I decided to brighten up the porch a bit.
I added very inexpensive sheers so I could watch them blow in the breeze.
I rebuilt my porch gate to keep my dog in. It didn't work she just climbs the fencing and runs off, but the gate is good. I made a wreath from an old lasso I picked up out back in the arena.
I found this old patio table at a junk store, really bad shape, for 25.00. I sanded it a bit painted the legs and stained the top. I reupholstered the chair cushions in something more cheerful.
Naughty dog on her leash! :)
I repainted my front door. I love the blue!! I painted the deck and rails adding stripes to the upper porch.
I had already painted this rug under the table but have now decided to redo it, after I rest....
A cozy corner with a mirror to reflect light. It scares people that don't know it's there, amusing...
A cozy reading nook with a metal rocker bench. I made the lamp from a palm leaf orb from HL for half off. I already had the socket so I wired it and had a lamp for 10.00. Love how it glows at night.
I love to sit in the evening when it's cool and a gentle breeze moves the curtains. Come sit with me.......
