Turn an UGLY $10 Goodwill Dresser Into a Treasured Piece! Very EASY!

You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a nice piece of furniture! Let me show you how I re-did an ugly dresser into something beautiful!
I'm always looking for a project to make over so when I saw this solid wood hideous thing, I couldn't resist since it was only ten bucks!
I grabbed my dust mask and the hand held sander and got to work! Unfortunately, it died after the top was sanded. Luckily, my mom is the queen of wood working, she lent me hers! :)
A little elbow grease will get you a long way!
I grabbed my stencil adhesive (Stencil Ease Stencil Adhesive) and my stencils:
I used craft paint: FolkArt Outdoor Acrylic Paint in black. (Well, because it's what I had and I didn't want to go back to the store!)
This is after I stained over the top of it with Minwax PolyShade (Stain and Poly in one). The color is "Mission Oak". I didn't want it real dark, so after I ragged on the stain, I immediately wiped it off.
So far...so good!
I wanted the right knob and this one looked perfect! (Half off at Hobby Lobby even - 13 bucks for all 6) SCORE.
After! Ta da! I was going to sell it but I love it so much, I'm keeping it!!
Enjoyed the project?

That’s gorgeous! Keeping it simple really brought out the WOW factor! I’d love to find a real wood dresser to upscale. I also like Minwax stains & combo products! They’re ease of use is excellent & the quality of their stains are fabulous!
